Drilled Money Cowrie Shells – Yellow (100 ct)
These drilled money cowrie shells are a traditional decorative element historically used on Native American dresses and regalia. Light yellow in color, each shell measures approximately ¾”–1” long and features the characteristic dimpled underside of the money cowrie.
Each shell has one hole drilled at the narrow top, making them ready for sewing or attachment to garments, accessories, and craft projects. Long before European contact, money cowries were a valuable trade item in North America, brought inland from the Pacific coast by Native traders.
Well suited for traditional dressmaking, beadwork, regalia restoration, and cultural craft projects.
