Bone Hairpipe – 1” (20 ct)
This 1-inch bone hairpipe is made from genuine bone in a traditional barrel shape, produced to consistent specifications for uniform size and quality. Sold in packs of 20
Hairpipe beads have a long history in North America. Early elongated beads were originally made by Native Americans from marine conch shells, and later from bone, glass, brass, and silver. By the late 1700s and throughout the 1800s, both bone and shell hairpipe became widely used trade items and were documented in historic trade records. Commercial production began around 1880, and hairpipe has remained an essential component in traditional and contemporary regalia ever since.
Well suited for breast plates, chokers, necklaces, bandoliers, and other traditional craft projects.
